Rakshita

Rakshita is a South Indian actress, who has acted in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu movies. Exotic kannada girl Rakshita was brought up in Mumbai. Her father, B.C. Gowri Shankar, was a popular cinematographer in Kannada and her mother, Mamatha Rao, too acted in a few Kannada films.She started her career with a Kannada movie Appu produced by Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar with Puneeth Rajkumar as the co-star. She was called by the Telugu film industry also for the remake of the same movie as the heroine. It was named as Idiot. Her Kannada film career as heroine got a twist when her movie Kalasipalya became a hit. With in a short period of time, Rakshita acted with major telugu heros such as Nagarjuna and Ravi Teja. She had acted in Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil Movies. She likes reading books, listening to music and traveling. Her favourite authors are Agatha Christie and Sidney. She retired from the industry as a heroine after her marriage with popular Kannada cinema director Prem.
